workshop 2011 - pratt institute, new york
after a successful design project with parsons the new
school for design in 2007, nachtmann continues to expand
on their relationships with widely-known and respected
design schools. in 2011, we partnered with pratt institute in
new york to initiate another design competition. pratt insti-
tute, celebrating its 125 years of excellence in education, is
one of the most preeminent schools for architecture, art, and
design in the united states. the pratt industrial design-stu-
dents alvaro uribe and Catherine merrick, both emerging
designers, succeeded in this competition and created two
new lines for naChtmann – petals and quartz.
nach dem erfolgreichen designprojekt mit parsons the new
school for design in 2007 hat nachtmann seine beziehun-
gen zu weltweit bekannten designschulen ausgebaut und in
2011
einen neuen designwettbewerb mit dem pratt institute
in brooklyn, new york initiiert.
das pratt institute, das mit stolz auf eine 125-jährige ge-
schichte zurückblickt, gehört zu den renommiertesten hoch-
schulen für architektur, kunst und design in den usa. die
entwürfe der industriedesign-studenten alvaro uribe und
Catherine merrick wurden in diesem wettbewerb ausge-
zeichnet und produziert.
